We don’t want you to be worried about paying your water bill. If you’re struggling to juggle your finances, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can help.

We can arrange payment plans and temporarily pause payments to help you get back on your feet.

We also offer different tariffs and support schemes to make your water bill more affordable, depending on your circumstances.

Social tariff

Our social tariff helps lower-income households who need help to pay their water bill.

We apply a discount to your bill based on your annual household income. To check if you’re eligible, please get in touch with us.

WaterSure

Our WaterSure scheme helps households who receive certain benefits and need to use a lot of water.

To be eligible, you need to use a lot of water for medical reasons or receive Child Benefit for three or more children living in your home.

The scheme can help by putting a cap on your metered water charges, so you won’t pay more than the limit, no matter how much water you use.

To qualify for our WaterSure tariff, you must receive certain benefits and

  • have a medical condition that means you use extra water or
  • claim Child Benefit for three or more children living with you.

  • Citizens Advice gives free, independent advice to households across the UK.
  • MoneyHelper is a government service that provides free and impartial advice on benefits, money troubles, work and pensions.
  • National Debtline is an independent debt advice charity, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
  • StepChange offers free debt advice to help you get your finances back on track.
  • Turn2us is a national charity providing practical help to people who are struggling financially.
