Job purpose

At mua Group, we’re both an independent distribution network operator (IDNO) for electricity and an independent gas transporter (IGT) for gas. We don’t own the gas or electricity, but we collect a fee from the energy supplier for safely and reliably delivering their gas and electricity to homes and businesses through our pipes and cables.

We’re also a regulated water and wastewater company, adopting water and wastewater networks across Britain.

We’re looking for a Network Technician to provide essential administrative support to our Operations team.

You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our electricity, gas and water networks.

What we require

Role responsibilities

As a Network Technician, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Maintaining records of technical and safety audits and inspections
  • Processing non-conformance and defect reports
  • Supporting the administration of our routine maintenance and inspection programme
  • Triaging and resolving client enquiries into our Network Administration inbox
  • Liaising with our construction partners to manage weekly whereabouts
  • Coding and distributing the locks and signs for our assets

Knowledge, skills & experience

For this role, you’ll need experience in an administrative or operations coordination role.

It would also be beneficial to have:

  • Experience in the utility sector, particularly electricity or gas distribution
  • Knowledge of managing audit, maintenance or site inspection records
  • An understanding of non-conformance reporting
