How we can help
Requesting a point of connection
If you’re planning a new development or want to connect a property to our networks, we’re here to help.
The first step is to get in touch to let us know about your plans. You’ll need to complete an application form to tell us more about your new connection. For electricity, this is a Point of Connection (POC) application. For gas, it’s a Connected System Entry Point (CSEP) application for multiple plots or our new gas connection form for a single domestic property.
When you send us your application form, we’ll need details of your required load and a map of your location. We’ll then review your information and send you a quote for the cost of your new connection.
We don’t currently charge for new connection quotes. But if your project also requires an application to the regional utility network operator – known as the upstream DNO or GDN – the operator may charge for their quote. We would pass this cost through to you before we provide our quote.
You can find more information about our new connection charges in our regulatory documents.
